Commissioners for Taking Affidavits and Notary Public

Commissioners for taking affidavits, also known as commissioners of oaths, are authorized to take affidavits or declarations. They ask individuals to swear or affirm that the contents of a document are true.

Notaries public have all the powers of commissioners for taking affidavits. Additionally, they can verify that signatures, marks, and copies of documents are true or genuine. They certify the authenticity of documents and signatures, providing an additional layer of trust and verification in legal and administrative processes.

As a paralegal in Ontario, we have been providing the services of a Notary public and an Oath commissioner.
